Do you have a performance skill that you'd like to share with us?

Do you recite poetry, tell stories, dance, sing, or play an instrument?

On Friday night, we will host an event that YOU can participate in!

To audition for a spot, please do the following:

Submit a video (preferred) of your performance. This is easy to do if you have a smartphone. Please limit your performance to 3 minutes. You can email it to me (Mary Anne Brundage) at maryanne.brundage@gmail.com from your smartphone.

Make sure you put it on the lowest resolution, otherwise it will only send about 55 seconds worth. Also make sure you start your performance as soon as the camera starts. If your phone prompts you to send a "clip" go ahead and do that. I will let you know if I don't get enough.

Alternately, if you are just singing or reciting, you can send me a full mp3 from your phone. If you have an iphone, just use the voice memo utility. Once you save it, you can email it from the "share" option. Remember, no more than 3 minutes. If you don't have voice memo on your smartphone, there are lots of free "apps" you can download for recording.

1. Send us your name and contact information (email and phone)
2. Let us know what you will be performing. Send the title or a description of your act.
3. Let us know if you sing or play an instrument, i.e., which one? There will be a digital keyboard available but otherwise you will need to bring your instrument.
4. Email your video or audio file.
5. In August, if you sing, you will need to bring a recorded accompaniment with you if you do not have someone to play for you. It should be in MP3 format on a flash drive.
